About Anchor Physical Therapy & Performance

Anchor Physical Therapy & Performance was founded in 2020, with the goal of creating a space where patients can feel valued, and see results faster. Spending one-on-one time with patients allows the physical therapist to identify the root of the problem so patients can reach their goals.

At Anchor Physical Therapy & Performance, mobility and symptom changes are constantly reassessed throughout a single session. This is how we can be confident in what exercise or manual intervention is going to get us results the fastest. This will then guide our home treatment plan so patients can continue to make progress in between sessions.

You should feel heard.
You should feel valued.
You should feel like there is a plan.

  • Lauren’s inspiration for starting Anchor Physical Therapy is simple – her patients. Time and time again, Lauren saw patients who came to physical therapy to either rehab after a surgery or because it was their last resort for addressing a nagging chronic injury. While Lauren was able to support these patients in their rehab, her most rewarding accomplishment was when she was able to redefine her patients’ perception of physical therapy. She was inspired when patients were able to avoid unnecessary surgery or medication once they valued the preventative care that she provided. While this is contrary to the traditional fee-for-service model of healthcare, Lauren became a physical therapist to heal people, and through Anchor Physical Therapy she aims to do that through better care, fewer visits, and less money.

Lauren’s specialty is in sports and orthopedic physical therapy, and integrates this with pelvic floor health. Lauren enjoys staying strong and loves helping others do the same. When Lauren experienced pregnancy and postpartum changes herself in 2021, she got a new prospective on how essential basic strength training is to the average person. Nothing compares to the lack of strength and stability you feel in the first few months postpartum. The amount of strength you need to repetitively lift a car seat and child is also underestimated. These lifestyle changes impact postpartum people drastically.

It is Lauren’s goal to empower all women (and men) to feel capable and strong to do what they love. She loves getting creative with sport-specific exercise programs to help her patients unique goals.  She treats each patient from a holistic and full body mind-set which allows her to identify compensation patterns contributing to their injuries. Her individualized exercise programs, in combination with her manual therapy techniques, help her patients get back to their desired performance level pain free.
